What should you do if you hate your spouse's dog?

I absolutely detest dogs...before we married he slept with this dog. Now, when he's not here, or I get home before him, it's my responsibility to take care of this animal. I'm becoming resentful and I don't want to be.What should you do if you hate your spouse's dog?
If he knows you don't care for dogs than tell him that he should do as much as he can for the dog before he leaves. Even if it means changing the dogs eating schedule. Then all that you would be left to do is put the dog out when it needs to do it's business.


I don't think a dog is worth ending your relationship. Let him love his dog. You don't need to love his dog but I don't think by doing a little bit while he's not there is no big deal. Tell him it's his dog and while you would never make him get rid of his dog, it will be his responsibility for the care of the dog. You will put the dog out as needed but that is about it.
