The AF tries very very hard to match you to the same base as your spouse.





You will 1) need to be married, 2) complete a join-spouse form (AF 1048) and it needs to match the spouses.





You can look at AFI 36-2110, Chapter 5 for more information on the join spouse program





EDIT: I forgot to tell you that the AF considers assignments within 50 miles of each other to be join spouse. . . they expect you to live in the middle.
The service tries to get you both stationed at the same location. Really it depends on both of your jobs. While they do all they can to accommodate you both, unfortunately it is not guaranteed.
