If your spouse becomes paralyzed & can no longer have sex, would you leave him/her?

Personally i would not, marriage %26amp; love is NOT about sex. So with that said, how important is sex in a marriage? You marry for better or for worst right????If your spouse becomes paralyzed %26amp; can no longer have sex, would you leave him/her?

Sex is very important when you CAN give it, but CHOOSE to with hold it. It is something you should want to share with the one you love and plan to spend the rest of your life with.





When it's a medical condition, that's a whole different ballgame. I love my husband dearly and if anything ever happened to him that made him unable to be intimate, I would stick by him and be faithful. However, if he started giving me the cold shoulder in the bedroom and just cut me off from intimacy without it being a medical condition, I would have a HUGE problem with that.
There is a difference between CAN'T and WON'T.





If he CAN'T have sex w/ me then I will cope as best I can and love him (and stay w/ him) no matter what.





If he WON'T have sex w/ me then there are deeper and more disturbing issues involved that I may or may not stick around to see resolved.
I would not leave him over that. I think sex is pretty important but not being able to have sex is different.





If he refused to have sex with me while he could I would leave him. I see that on here all the time, people refusing to have sex with their partners.
You didn't marry for sex alone. The only reason why one get into marriage is because of love. And if the spouse becomes paralyze, this is a time to prove one's true love. You are more needed at this time.
